Acts of kindness

“I thought I was feeling a bit dry!”

Said a mother standing by the gate of the nursery when she realised I extended my umbrella to cover her head.

I smiled whilst accommodating the umbrella in a way that would cover us without interfering too much into the personal space.

“Thank you” she said “I forgot my umbrella in the car and now I am getting all drenched”

“No worries” I replied, while waiting for the nursery gate to be opened.

I know it may be really silly, but I do believe what Aesop said in his famous fable:

“No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted”
